Trading in April 2021

In April 2021, a total volume of 381,501 MWh could be achieved for the morning auction at 10:15 a.m. for the delivery areas Austria and Germany together. Compared to the same month of the previous year (524,149 MWh), this means a decline in the total trading volume of 27%. On the delivery day with the highest turnover (April 7th), 20,637 MWh were auctioned.

 

For the 12:00 o'clock market coupling auction a total volume of 3,292,613 MWh was achieved for the delivery areas Austria and Germany together. 188,628 MWh were auctioned on the delivery day with the highest turnover (April 7th).

 

Looking at both auctions together, a total of 3,674,113 MWh were traded at EXAA in April 2021.

In April 2021, the average monthly prices for the 10:15 auction in the Austrian market area for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 61.76 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 62.47 EUR/MWh. In the German market area, the prices for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 55.76 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 52.63 EUR/MWh.

In April 2021, the average monthly prices for the auction at 12:00 o'clock in the Austrian market area for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 60.04 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 60.23 EUR/MWh; in the German market area, the prices for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 53.61 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 50.29 EUR/MWh.
