Trading in July 2021

In July 2021, a total volume of 321,838 MWh could be achieved for the morning auction at 10:15 a.m. for the delivery areas Austria and Germany together. Compared to the same month of the previous year (456,861 MWh), this means a decline in the total trading volume of 30%. On the delivery day with the highest turnover (July 30th), 15,282 MWh were auctioned.

 

For the 12:00 o'clock market coupling auction a total volume 3,135,709 MWh was achieved for the delivery areas Austria and Germany together. 187,396 MWh were auctioned on the delivery day with the highest turnover (July 29th).

 

Looking at both auctions together, a total of 3,457,548 MWh were traded at EXAA in July 2021.

In July 2021, the average monthly prices for the 10:15 auction in the Austrian market area for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 83,66 EUR /MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 84,52 EUR/MWh. In the German market area, the prices for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 81,76 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 80,18 EUR/MWh.

In July 2021, the average monthly prices for the auction at 12:00 o'clock in the Austrian market area for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 83,68 EUR /MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 84,75 EUR/MWh; in the German market area, the prices for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 81,37 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 79,81 EUR/MWh.
