Trading in June 2021

In June 2021, a total volume of 313,676 MWh could be achieved for the morning auction at 10:15 a.m. for the delivery areas Austria and Germany together. Compared to the same month of the previous year (497,977 MWh), this means a decline in the total trading volume of 35%. On the delivery day with the highest turnover (June 3rd), 19,592 MWh were auctioned.

 

For the 12:00 o'clock market coupling auction a total volume of 2,611,903 MWh was achieved for the delivery areas Austria and Germany together. 123,885 MWh were auctioned on the delivery day with the highest turnover (June 12th).

 

Looking at both auctions together, a total of 2,925,578 MWh were traded at EXAA in May 2021.

In June 2021, the average monthly prices for the 10:15 auction in the Austrian market area for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 74.22 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 73.66 EUR/MWh. In the German market area, the prices for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 73.57 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 71.80 EUR/MWh.

 

In June 2021, the average monthly prices for the auction at 12:00 o'clock in the Austrian market area for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 74.29 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 73.62 EUR/MWh; in the German market area, the prices for the bEXAbase (00-24h) were 74.08 EUR/MWh and for the bEXApeak (08-20h) 73.05 EUR/MWh.
