REMIT at EXAA
Since October 7, 2015, the data reporting obligation under Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011 on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT) has been in force.
Since then, participants in wholesale energy markets within the EU have been required to report detailed records of trading activities to the European Union Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER).
As of January 2021, ACER, relying on the European Commission Decision (EU) 2020/2152 published on 17 December 2020, introduced an annual fee to cover its costs associated with the collection, handling, processing and analysis of REMIT data as defined in Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011.
This fee is collected by ACER through the Registered Reporting Mechanisms (RRMs).
To complete your data set, we offer you the Acknowledgement ("ACK") - File from the daily ACER feedbacks via secured FTP server (SFTP).
As a free service for our trading participants based in Switzerland, EXAA assumes the resulting, additional reporting obligations (relating to EXAA trading) to the Swiss Federal Electricity Commission (ElCom) if the Data Reporting Agreement and ElCom Data Reporting Agreement are in place.
For those trading participants who use another RRM to fulfill their REMIT reporting obligations, or who need their complete and ready-to-report REMIT reporting file (XML) for internal documentation purposes, there is the possibility of data access via a secured FTP server (SFTP).
