All NEMOs to modify the threshold that triggers second auction procedure in April and May 2023.
The Nominated Electricity Market Operators (NEMOs) have decided to modify the threshold for triggering the second auction procedure in April and May 2023. This adjustment, prompted by recent market circumstances in The Netherlands, involves changing the lower threshold from EUR -150 to EUR -500 per MWh. The goal is to maintain operational security by reducing the frequency of second auctions in highly affected countries, which could potentially disrupt the Market Coupling session and increase the risk of Full Decoupling.
